Cleveland Seasonal Employment: Who is Hiring?

To the many Clevelanders who are unemployed, seasonal jobs may not sound like a very good opportunity. Most Cleveland job seekers want a job that is going to last, but they should not disregard seasonal jobs. Seasonal jobs can provide an opportunity for those who have been out of work to add a new experience to their resume, while making some much-needed cash at the same time. Yes, these jobs do come to an end after the holiday season, but that just means that you should keep putting in those job applications and resumes while you are making a bit of money to help tide you over. You never know, you may receive a job offer that you are able to start immediately after your seasonal job is over. In the end, money is money and, if you need money, a seasonal job is a great way to earn some. Here are some Cleveland area seasonal job openings:

  • Many Target discount stores in the area are hiring seasonal help. These job openings range from stock people to cashiers and everything in between. Stores are packed this time of year with Christmas and holiday shoppers, and they need all the help that they can get. Stop in your nearest Target store and fill out an application.
  • The GAP/Old Navy Corporation is also hiring seasonal employees for its many stores throughout the area. I found many job listings for this company on the website Indeed.com. This is a great website for finding jobs.
  • The I-X Center is looking for concession stand operators, servers, bartenders and many other types of workers. Many of these positions are guaranteed until May 2012, which makes this a seasonal job that will keep you busy for quite a few months longer than many others.
  • Ulta cosmetics is hiring many seasonal associates to help them with their holiday rush. If you are a woman who enjoys working around cosmetics and beauty products, this may be the perfect seasonal job for you.

I found many of these job listings on Indeed.com, which is a great resource for any job seeker. Put your best foot forward at your seasonal position and, you never know, they may like you enough to end up keeping you long-term.
